to Miami means you are not isolated or out of reach, and with daily
flights to and from the Bahamas from numerous US locations, moving
equipment and crews in and out is very easy.
Gavin McKinney first started underwater film work in 1973 . With
over 20,000 hours underwater he has accumulated a resume and reputation
that is second to none .
Having spent most of his life diving and boating Gavin is in the
unique position of being capable of handling all aspects of film
making under the water . Working on both sides of the camera for
over twenty five years has given him vast knowledge and understanding
of what it takes to get the shot in the can . Whether dealing with
a major production or getting just one shot for an insert . Additionally
he has written shot and co-produced two 3D underwater films, Oceanworld 3D and Sharks 3D.
Oceanworld 3D is currently being shown in IMAX theatres and has drawn over 4,000,000 viweres to date, while Sharks 3D continues to pull in crowds, with entrants currently standing at over 3,000,000
His current projects, include a general release 35mm film and a large format IMAX film.
He has worked closely with the Bahamas Film Promotion Bureau since
it's inception , and they are always ready to assist him bringing
film companies in and out of the country with minimum hassle . All
